I noticed something on my last ride, temp in the mid 80's. I have less heat on my right foot with the 1125 than I did with my Long. With the XB12, enough heat flowed off of the headers to make it too hot for my ventilated Sidi's - and that was with ceramic coated pipes. The 1125 is perfectly comfortable, so IMHO Buell has solved the hot foot issue on their Superbike.

well almost all the riding i have done on my 1125 was in the rain, the other maybe 70 miles whas when it was about 25 degrees. in the cold i didnt notice the heat, but when i was just in georgia riding in the rain i noticed some definate heat. and it wasnt even all that warm there either. i will just have to see how it does over time.

I have one of the ceramic coated heat shields on my way from American Sport Bike. I don't really feel the heat now, or as much as my 12r but, a little help in this area can go a loooong way.

Besides if I save just one pair of Cordura riding pants or Frog Togs from melting, I've more than paid for the coated heat shield.

Hey Neil I thought I was the only one who put holes in there suites,

I am wrapping the exhaust on all the bikes if I get new gear,

I want leather because of it not burning when just bumping against something hot,

but finding a real world leather suit is hard to find.
