1st 2.462
2nd 1.750
3rd 1.381
4th 1.174
5th 1.042
6th 1.000
Primary Drive Helical Gear, 0.554:1 (36/65) ratio

I suck at math but running on the rim it(17inches) would be 109mph add the tire and you should be around the 179 rang....... or so I think.

It was noted elsewhere that the sixth gear ratio is actually an overdriven one at .960 IIRC.

I thought in reading the final drive ratios the 1125's 6th gear had the same ratio as the current 5th gear of the XB series. Am I wrong? Take that into account with the new engine and I would say the top speed should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 180 give or take. Just guessing there and I could be totally of the rocking chair on that one.

The discussion on the transmission at this thread:

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/291501.html?1184300049

pulled a post from an anonymous contributor that pointed out that the 1125R does *not* have a layshaft transmission like all the other H-D/Buell bikes. It has countershaft transmission so, in that case, each speed (including 6th) is driven by a pair of gears and the output is on the countershaft. There is no 1:1 direct drive as with layshaft transmissions.

So the ratios on the 1125R can, at least in theory, be adjusted by changing the gear ratios. I'm not saying it will be done but it someone wanted to make the gears, they could adjust the ratios for any or every gear.

Maybe the racing 1125R's will have some kind of trapdoor on the right side so you can open it and just pop a pre-configured transmission into place.

That would be great for both racers and if/when Buell makes an dirt version.
