from my years of experience of selling them you don’t want the Airhawk hanging off the sides as little spas possible. For a seat that size I would be looking for the “DS” version vs the square one. The DS version was mainly made for the dual sport bikes but is it works great on the smaller narrow found on the Buells just as well. Just my TWO cents worth on something I’ve sold a lot of. | ||

I had the same thought Lance. This morning I ordered the 11" x 11" Dual sport seat cushion. The nose is tapered and appears to be what I will want. Thanks for the encouraging post. I want to ride distance more often with less discomfort. I may have to get an old ugly beamer. | ||

The most common issue when people set the Airhawk up is they put way to mush air in them. Once they do that they get rock hard. Then probably inflated your but should only hover 1/8” over the stock seat. I have a few of them and have put a lot of miles on them and the only thing I don’t like is when hit the hard curves your but will shift from side to side. When you start shifting around it feels like the backend of the bike is trying to step out on you. I just trough it in my saddle back when I hit the fun roads. Just letting you know my experience with them. | ||

I had been reading the instructions and knew I shouldn't be more than a 1/2" off the seat. My intention is to use it for those 500 mile one way highway runs. I will remember to pull it off for the twisties. Thank you Lance. | ||

One other tip that helps if you're going to be on the bike for hours, is putting a pair of padded bicycle shorts on under your pants. I'm never on the bike that long anymore, but I used to use a pair when I was going out all day and it made things a bit more pleasant. | ||
