I'm picking up a basket case S2 that has a killer motor. I used to own this bike and sold it to get a clean low mileage S2. The bodywork is shit! The bike was involved in a lowside crash from a previous owner. Here's what I'll have for the pre-sale (not taking money, just raise your hand if you want it)... Forks with triple trees: $350 White front rim with rotor: $100 White rear rim with rotor & pulley: $125 Side plates with foot controls: $150 Oil tank: $75 Handlebars (stock height): $75 Zero Gravity windscreen: $50 Front PM brake caliper: $125 Stock seat: $50 obo Or buy the whole damn thing (minus the engine) for $900. Throw in other $500 and I'll include the engine from my 1998 S3T with 70K+ miles. Feel free to request or offer $$ for any other misc parts. I don't want to keep a bunch of parts around. I already have enough stuff to basically build another bike. I'm going to put the motor into my 1998 S3T. After over 70k miles, it was either time to rebuild or do this. This was easier. email works best: awinefan at hotmail (Message edited by lake_bueller on April 11, 2019) |

Hm. Year? Frame with title? Front fairing? I drove my '95 through a deer last May, broke the frame in 4 places...but I do love my S2's... |

Does it, by chance, still have the grills in the rear fairing? |

Interested in any stock S2 turn signals even if needing repair. Also bodywork even if it has some damage, especially rear section. Can you email/post pictures of bodywork ? Thanks, Rick rtlll@yahoo.com |

Rick... I'm not exactly sure when I'll have the bike in hand again. I need to find a day to get to Chicago to pick it up. Working 75-80 hours a week isn't helping any. I know for sure that the signals are NOT original. My memory on the bodywork was that it's solid but a horrible rattle can looking paint job. (Message edited by lake_bueller on April 12, 2019) |

I would also consider selling the whole thing for $1800 (with a bonded title). I really want the motor but....I also hate to see another S2 going away. |

Interesting, an S2 in the Chicago area got by me. Not sure where it's at in Chicagoland but I'm happy to assist with picking it up and storing if for a while if you need some help. You have any pictures to post ? Cheers, Rick |

Dennis, Let us know what number (last 4 of the VIN) that basket case is, and if its parted out or kept together - so we can track it in the S2 Registry Thanks, Andrew |
