Hi folks. I am in Los Lunas, NM, near Albuquerque. Looking at moving to a touring bike and thinning the herd, so I'm putting both my Buells up for sale. This one is a 2004 XB12R. It's beautiful and has been kept basically stock. Both the ECM and exhaust are factory. The tires are fairly new and have good tread. 31k miles. Not being ridden right now but it is on a battery tender, as are my other bikes. I would consider a trade for a big twin Harley. I also have an 1125R for sale which I could include as a package, or cash on top (or gold, if you prefer) is a possibility for the right bike. I do have a clean NM title in my name.      | ||

That's not a stock muffler. It's a modified stock, looks to be a Hawk muffler mod. | ||

That's news to me. Is that muffler a good thing, or a bad thing? | ||

Sounds better, but performance is so-so, with less midrange than stock. Most people change the exhaust anyway, so shouldn't have a significant difference on the value of the bike. | ||

Ok. Thanks, Phelan. I learned something today! ... if anyone wants, I do have a dented-on-bottom stock muffler (it's silver, not black) from an XB9 that I can include. I also have a complete set of spare (blue) plastics, excluding the elusive chin fairing, that came off the same XB9. | ||

That silver XB9 muffler isn't stock either. I'd bet money it is the Buell Race exhaust even without seeing it. Your Firebolt looks great by the way  | ||

The XB12R is spoken for -- I'm going to give it to a friend of mine so we can ride together. Looking forward to hearing it rumbling beside my new Ultra! |
