Not mine, but...

http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/47623/673486.html?1333398317

I put it back on the road for a coworker, as noted in the thread above. One owner bike, he bought it new. VIN 000248.

He was going to give it to his son (active military), but the son has since decided he'd rather have the cash since, being actively deployed, he has no idea when or if he'll be able to ride again and he hates seeing the bike languish in a barn.

I'd buy it...but I have my red '95 along with six other Buells, and an eighth is the LAST thing I need.

But it is a schweeeet bike. And I daresay...it is done right, ready to hit the road. It feels like I'm selling one of my own here...

He knows he has the signature series plate and is 99.9% sure he has the letter and card - he's going to dig for it tonight. It is wearing a Corbin, but he also has the original. He also thinks he has two original Buell helmets - wouldn't recommend using them for safety, but could be cool collector items. He has a Buell storage cover for it, and I think a couple other odds and ends that will go with it.

I have hi-res versions of the pics available, just email me. Most of what I have here is pre-service, the one above is post-test-ride, all shined up.

7141 original miles when I got it for resurrection. I personally serviced it - Syn3, all adjustments, fresh brake fluid, ultrasound-cleaned the carb and jetted it properly for the Supertrapp. New PR2's, stock size. New battery, plugs and wires. The only thing I didn't do was change fork fluid or replace the belt (and yes, I set it scary-loose). I rode it after the service and it handled properly to me, so I told Roy to let me know if he had a lot of pogo and I'd do the fork fluid for him.

He got it back, parked it in his barn...and its been there to this day.

From what I could tell, all recalls are done EXCEPT the front rotor. It has the original factory rotor, and it works just fine.

No bubbles or nicks in the paint that I recall. Factory tank bra since new. Good decals.

This is one rare bird. One owner, garage/barn stored all its life, LOW miles, signature series bits, great color, and ready to ride. I will personally check it out for the new owner as well, Roy can bring it to my place any time and I'm happy to put hands and tools on it again for a Badwebber. This bike will NOT be chopper'd - it needs to go to a Buell home. With a serious proper detail (all I did was service it and wash it), it could be a museum piece. It is that nice.

$5500 / OBO, email me for details, questions, photos.

Some pre-resto photos:

As it arrived at my house, yes, the MotoLights work nicely:

Good layer of barn dust:

Stripped for service - yes, it's a Gustaffson windscreen, I think +4", and yes, it got new intake seals on reassembly:

Yes...it had the *factory* tires on it when he brought it to me...ugh!

Bodywork, during the service:

VIN tag

Cleaned up, test ridden, ready for Roy to pick up:

OK, winter has FINALLY left Maryland and I got over to Roy's for some fresh photos.

Still 7181 miles on the odometer. Wait. Check that. 7186. ORIGINAL. ONE. OWNER. MILES.

I was mistaken - we did not put PR2's on it, we put on RoadSmart's. We'd talked about the PR2, but decided to go Dunlop given how much he (doesn't) ride the motorcycle.

Nice clean dry base gaskets (and cases, and rockerboxes...)

Dry over here, too...

I have a high-res version of this one...just email me for it, and many many others if you're interested.

One scratch on the bottom of the right bag...

Scratches below the tank cover screws...but those are really the only 3 marks I've seen on the bike.

I pushed it out of his barn today to take the photos. He showed up on his lawn tractor (he runs a tree farm)...looked at it for a bit in the sunset..."wow, that's a pretty bike...".

Um...Roy? It's YOUR bike...you should RIDE IT MORE!!

"Yeah...maybe I'll get insurance and tags, and ride it some this year...".

One way or another, this S2T deserves to get out and log some miles.

The ONLY thing I've noticed it could use, is a front master cylinder rebuild. The lever was low when I first grabbed it to push the bike out. Couple pumps...it firmed right up. If a badwebber wants, I'll rebuild it for them before pickup, no charge. Or, I can leave it if you prefer to do your own work - your call.

This is a gorgeous motorcycle. WITH signature series stuff. He says the furthest he's taken it was Ontario, back in the day. From MD to ON...that may be about the ONLY trip it ever took, given the mileage!

Like I said, I took a bunch of pics today. If you're interested in the bike...email me, and I can send them to you to look over.
