Well...

I have something like a million exhausts to use, and frankly, I'm probably never going to mount this....Well, if it sells then I never will! LOL

Anyways, this is brand spankin' new, never mounted, still in the box. For use with 99 and later tubers (YES ALL OF THEM for those that don't know that they are all compatible).

$325 shipped. USPS Money. If you use paypal, you pay the fees.

And yes...That is two Corbin seat boxes in the last pic...lol

Is that a 2" elbow or a 2.5" elbow?

I've never seen a separate elbow 'trapp that would work on a '99-'02 tuber. Measure it to make sure.

It measures up at 2.5" on the elbow.

It says it's for an X1 and I'm pretty sure all X1's had 2.5" so it will fit any '99 and later tuber.

Hey Joe,
I don't have to sell it, I figured I'd see if anyone wanted/needed it...If not, no biggie. Plus, this part isn't on my "must have for later" list. It's just collecting dust.

I picked up another full exhaust system and will probably never ever use this one as I'm partial to D&D...So, I'll run a Full D&D system over the Race Header and D&D Race muffler any day.

FYI, I bought one of the first "full" systems that D&D came out with. Well made and performs well...BUT I ultimately sold it for a couple of reasons. You've stated that you're running a race header with a D&D slip-on. I just sold my D&D slip-on to. The reason is that the D&D slip-on with the race header is just as loud as the D&D full system. They sound the same and they make the same power. No real advantage in using the D&D full system. The bigger reason I sold my full system was that I didn't care for the D&D design as such. Fit was good but could have been better. I was never able to get the head pipes to completely seal into the Y collector. Might not bother you but it did me. I also didn't like the fact that the rear head pipe began to rub the frame and I never could remedy that problem(I tried a lot of different things). I run my bikes hard and the D&D system held up well but I finally cracked the Y collector. I've found the race exhaust to be the best combo so far. I'm currently putting together a custom aftermarket setup with the race header. I've got some custom rear brackets and am using a Magnaflow straight thru design. Should be powerful, decent sound and last forever. Will post results later.

I broke 4 race header shoes in about 4,000 miles and a cracked header...But I think there were other factors in play also.

Anyways, I guess we'll see..It's not like I'm getting rid of my race header, or either of my D&D Race Mufflers.

This is an old thread that describes how to make your "tuber" exhaust last. Short story: It works. I've had it on for a while and the exhaust holds together. I haven't even noticed my rear exhaust stud nuts coming loose. Hope this helps:

Does anyone have experience with the D&D vs. the Supertrapp? I heard the D&D is built rock solid and bulletproof but is WAY loud.

Now I've read a lot of posts regarding Supertrapp quality problems. How does a Supertrapp IDS compare in sound to a Vance and Hines for a stock header? I ran a V&H for many years on a stock header '96 S1 and I liked the sound and performance.

Also, does anyone know if I can mount the D&D race muffler on a stock header if I purchase the angled mid-pipe from D&D? It looks like it should work.

Thanks!

keeping a supertrapp together can be a problem, but with 16 discs and no packing the sound is incomparable : )

Pete,

Unfortunately I have 2 D&D's for the race header... (caught your first post hehe)

But PM me...

Anyways, I "think" if you buy the elbow, it'll bolt up...From pics, both of the pipes look the same.

The best sounding, best exhaust for the "tubers" is the full factory race system. Once the packing blows out, re-pack with steel wool and you've got the best system money can buy unless you make your own. I've been riding tubers for 10 years and have tried all the exhaust slip-ons and systems. This one is the best.
