Seems like easy money for them? They will sell all 10 like hotcakes.

May I suggest a concerted effort on the 4(?) of you and anyone else who wants one. Everybody call, write a letter, send a group email. Let them know that they have x amount of people who've already out a deposit/credit card on one. You might want to mention Badweb, mine and EZ names. EZ the one who 'convinced' them they had one that fit, I went down and did the test measurement and Badweb also the reason for getting this done and promoting it (without sponsorship I might add). Badweb also has the pictures up and as far as we know, its the only brace available right now.

The brace is basically a Ninja 250 brace bored out .020" (what they said). The Ninja 250's seem to be popular for racing right now so maybe they dont want to take away from that production line, especially if they are selling.

Would it really be that hard to adapt the Ninja 250 one myself? Seems like I could open it up .20" myself pretty easy with a dremel. When I had called them last they didnt have the Ninja 250's in stock either but looking at their website today they have them.

Yes, it would be difficult with a dremel. To do it right you'd need a hone or boring tool at a machine shop. If you get it wrong, the forks can bind up

I placed an order for a superbrace. I was also told 2-3 weeks.

Got this response from SuperBrace just before I placed my order:

"We’re currently machining a couple another models and the Buell Blast is approx. 2 weeks out. Unfortunately, our techs moved the production of the Blast SuperBrace back due to the recent Buell news but inquiries like yours help maintain the current production dates. Have you placed your order yet? The amount of current orders definitely increases faster production. Also, we do bill when we ship and in the order of when it was placed."

I'm taking my SuperBrace down tomorrow so they can check specs. If anybody is still waiting for a brace, it should be done very soon.

What, did they forget to write them down somewhere? Thanks for helping everyone else out.

Guys, if you can get a SuperBrace, do it. It's the best $145 bucks you can spend on your Blast. I love mine, you will notice a big difference.

Yeah thanks Erik! I sure hope their product is better than their production planning skills. :P Had to send them a reminder email after a month of silence and got this back:

"We're currently machining the Buell Blast braces however our shop is closed
for the holiday. We'll looking to ship a partial order as soon as we return
early 2010. - SuperBrace.com"

And it's just over $200 with shipping and handling, in black with the fork protectors. Hope it's worth it.

It is better than the unobtanium Crossroads brace.
Maybe they threw out the specs when Buell closed the doors. I'll try and remember to ask tomorrow.

If you want a Superbrace NOW would be the time to order one. Not next week, but NOW since they were going to machine them today.
They should be going out to those on backorder very soon.

They did somehow lose the specs. Happens.

As I previously wrote, NOW is the time to order a SuperBrace!
"I just spoke with my manager and because of your loyalty, we're discounting
all current Buell Blast backorders and any orders placed before Monday 1/11
at high noon PSD 10% off retail exclusively through www.superbrace.com.
We're planning on shipping the mirror polished within 7 days and the hard
black anodized with 14 days. Ride Safe, SuperBrace.com

Yep, the brace is a beautiful piece of art. But you have to install it to do any good. : ) Love mine, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Glad they started cranking them out again.

Finally got mine today.
Thanks to EZ & Gearheaderiko for all their good efforts in facilitating this.
I hope it will offset the effects of the Dunlops I currently have on my Blast.
Later,

Yes, just 6 months after ordering I now have a Superbrace. They even threw in the fork protectors for free. I am happy now.

Ya, as soon as I saw them in the package I checked the receipt and made sure I wasn't charged for them on my credit card. Is it really necessary to loosen the pinch bolts to install? And what color locktite should I use on those threads?

Blue Loctite, dont overtorque. I've never loosened the pinch bolts to install any braces. If your forks are tweaked, they should be straighted out. If you try to install the brace and it doesnt fit right, then loosen everything up or see where the problem is.
My guess is it will go right on without a problem!
