Might even spark a new amateur class/series.

Maybe, but if I am looking at a 350cc or so KTM, it would be hard for me not to want it in a dual sport setup. Better commuter, I can play off road, and in a super motard setup it could be a lot of fun as a sportbike.

Post, revised. I had railed on about the KTM being a full featured mini sportbike. I was mistaken about the adjustable suspension, and some other items. But it has a lot of good features.
The CBR-300 is still at the top of my list at this point.

I want one - at $5500, very competitive with the CBR, and Ninja 300. Available just in time for next race season. If they make a track-only version (non street-legal, with race bodywork, etc.) I'm thinking I'm on that like white on rice.
