How do you measure accurately, the fuel level on a track bike?

I saw a guy last weekend use a really long, black nylon tie wrap. Any other ideas for measuring fuel tank level on an 1125?

My bike is easy to drain, and I only fill it 1.5 gallons to complete my race distance. Even that is a lot more then I need.

Which bike do you have?

The former Buell Racing (not EBRacing) had a device that quick connected just past the fuel pump so when you turn on the ignition, you could drain the tank. That will get your tank empty in a jiffy so you can refill with the proper amount.

Maybe EBR has that item?

I can also tell you that 112 ping-pong balls take out enough volume of the tank so when it is full it contains exactly 4 gallons (MotoGT had a 4 Gallon restriction).

I watched Mitsu using that fuel-draining gizmo to completely empty Shawn's tank and then put in EXACTLY 6 Liters for the 8 lap race (20 miles + 2.5 mile warmup)

I'd bet that IF EBR doesn't sell it, they WILL.

Not sure if Mitsu made it up himself or if it was built BY Buell Racing - but it was a cool device. Siphon can leave a half gallon still in the tank.
