That's how you shake the stink off from Daytona.

Great job Danny and crew. Can't wait til the show comes to my neck of the woods (mid-Ohio).

Swingarm for chain has to have adjustability, but shortest position is slightly shorter than stock, longest position is longer. This is the standard Buell race accesssory swingarm, which everyone runs.

Can't go much shorter than stock because the tire hits the front structure of the swingarm (much to Jeremy McWilliam's disappointment, with all his GP experience he feels it would really be best about 2" shorter).

Danny on the other hand likes it on the long side because he rides sideways, as those who saw and will watch the race will see!!!

Nearly entirely stock . . . I guessed the total cost of the bike at $25,000 and was corrected . . . more like $17,000. Cool part is that there was nothing on that bike you can not go to a Buell dealer and purchase.

Quite an oddity in the series.

"Can't go much shorter than stock because the tire hits the front structure of the swingarm (much to Jeremy McWilliam's disappointment, with all his GP experience he feels it would really be best about 2" shorter). "

2" shorter than stock for the 1125r means a xb12r wheelbase. But according to the June 2006 CYCLE WORLD magazine, when McWilliams was on the XBRR, they had a problem....."due to short wheelbase and tall office building of an engine the Buell XBRR was seldom on two wheels at the same time, too easy wheelies and stoppies"

So does the XBRR make more power than the 1125r ? Or the center of gravity of the 1125r is lower than the XBRR ??

It was claimed the XBRR had 150 HP, don't know if that was at the wheel, whatever the 1125 will be developed into something with much more than that. XBRR development is effectively over and 1125 has just begun, it's a better engine and will continue to get even better.

You need to ask Erik just what the real purpose of the XBRR was.

I wish I could quote it. The words and gesture said it all and very succinctly.

Loki:

When you heard Erik speak in Joplin did he sound like a guy lacking a plan who was just blindly stumbling through?

Vagelist, what an awsome pic. Someone needs to get him an American flag next time.
Like I said before he is the Stoner of Buell.
Congrats and thanks for the hard work

I was there, in my Buell shirt, and he shook my hand and sprayed the crap out of me with the bubbly.

What an awesome race. At one point he led the 2nd place rider by about 3 seconds. I never saw him out of 1st place from where I stood.

Not in the least. EB is:

Passionate about what he is doing.

Passionate about who its being done for.

Driven and focused to that end.

A very humble person.

An emotional individual.

That is what I saw in Daytona in '00.
This is what I saw in Joplin this year.

I wish more people could have seen his face as I rolled the RS past him.
