Hi Guys and Gals well we are starting the ball rolling now as we are going to look into buying our own Buell 1125 R for next season 2008. We would hope to run it at the following meetings ARA Club Twins Championships (6+ Events) South Jurby Road Races X 2. Steampacket Meeting post TT.
Southern 100 July Road Races. We will try and gain an entry in the TT Races but if thats unsuccessfull we will enter it in the Manx Grand Prix in August Over the World Famous TT Mountain Circuit. We are looking to compete in about 12/14 Events through out the year. We need to raise about £10.000 GBP any ideas how we can go about raising the funds to buy the bike. At this point in time Irish Ago Racing are having a T Shirt Designed with Buell/Irish Ago Racing
depending on feedback we will produce 1,000 shirts to sell at £15.00 icl P&P this alone would raise enough to buy the bike and pay to have T Shirts made will upload T Shirt design when its available any ideas would be greatfully recieved or anyone willing to get involved can get intouch through this site of my site cheers Irish Ago..

I can't wait to hear tales (would be even better to see it happen) of you guys attacking those classic courses.. I think I feel a need for some new Irish Tee Shirts... Let us know when..

Hi Gang at this point in time we are looking very strongly at this venture i am even talking with the TT organising club to get some feedback. Also a bit of news i will be in the USA next year ill be racing at the following events. I have struck a deal with Ron Halem out of California who is letting me race his Featherbed Framed 500cc Gold Star BSA in the following AHRMA events starting in late feb at Roebling Road Raceway in Georgia and then at Daytona the following week i will then return to the Island for a few weeks before flying to San francisco to Race at Willow Springs the end of april. After that the bike will be shipped to the Isle of Man for the Manx Grand Prix the end of August where ill race in the Senior Classic Race. Their will be a press release on my website within the week
i also hope to have an update on the Buell so for now all the best Irish Ago.....

Hi Gang, At this point in time we are looking at the Buell option but it all hinges on being able to finance it as the bike here is a lot more expensive than the states about $16,500.00 USD we are having the T Shirt designed and will upload a photo once done. At TT 2007 we struggled to sell 250 T Shirts about 40 went stateside so 20% where sold to fans in the USA thank you so much for that. I need to get some feedback to see if its worth doing or not and cant confirm that we are assured an entry in the TT but i could put a Rider on it for the MGP if push came to shove but id rather ride it myself i think you know what i mean. So for now watch this space all the best Irish Ago....

Anyone, ahem Jimidan, seeking to instigate/interject divisive partisan political sniping into threads on BadWeB other than in the Backfire Board is absolutely not welcome here, period. : |

Hey Kevin. I'll buy a couple of more shirts. I get comments on the shirt from last time whenever I wear it. Hope to meet you in Daytona. Congratulations on scoring the ride on the BSA!

Irish Ago Racing & Team GSR Racing USA.
Press Release for 2008.

Well after a very successful 2007 season it’s now time to look forward to the 2008 Season and with this in mind it’s very good to have things in place at such an early stage for us. Irish Ago Racing’s rider Kevin “Ago” Murphy has secured a ride with Ron Halem out of California on his very special Featherbed Framed 500cc Gold Star BSA. Ron is known amongst his friends as “Gold Star Ron” and will be referred to as such in all our future team updates. I will again have the support of my good friend Fred who will let me run his Mk1 250 Ducati at select events in the UK and on the Island. In the main Irish Ago will Race the 500 BSA Gold Star at the following meetings starting at Roebling Road Raceway, Bloomingdale, Georgia the end of February, then on to Daytona in Florida in early March, returning to the States the end of April for an Event at Willow Springs in California. This will be his last ride on the BSA before it is shipped to the UK prior to him racing it in the Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix the end of August. For 2008 Irish Ago will be concentrating on Racing Classic machines with one or 2 outings on Ganda Racings VFR 400 Honda on which he finished 3rd in the support class at the Southern 100 in 2007. As of yet we have no actual dates for the various events but they should be as follows .

1. Roebling Road Raceway, Bloomingdale, Georgia, United States.*
2. Daytona International Speedway, Daytona, Florida, United States.*
3. Willow Springs International Motorsports Park, California, USA.*
4. Jurby South Road Race, Jurby , Isle of Man.*

11. Jurby South Road Races, Jurby, Isle of Man. ?
12. Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix, TT Course, Isle of Man. *
13. Barber Classic Festival, Birmingham, Alabama, United States.?

The Meetings marked as such * will be on our Calendar and the ones marked with a ? are possible depending on sponsorship and entries being accepted.

Anyone wishing to help in anyway sponsorship wise should contact Irish Ago through the Website.
