I didn't want to hi-jack the thread.
Unfortunately we were badly let down by a major sponsor at the beginning of this season, which meant that we ended up footing the entire GBP15000 bill for racing this year. We had planned to sell the bike at the end of this season to try and recoup some of that money, and to 'retire gracefully' from racing.

Phil Read is very keen to ride the bike again next year though, and we know we still haven't reached it's full potential yet, so if we can get a sponsor to stump up some financial support for next year we will race again We would need a financial comitment of around GBP12000 though to make it worthwhile.

It would be a shame to lose the only Buell XB racer in the UK, especially as we put so much effort into introducing and running the Thunderbike series into the country just so there was a place to race Buells competitively

I noticed on the his web-site the race bike is up for sale.

Matt, I really really hope you don't have to sell the bike, and can continue racing.

Please keep us up to date as to how things are going with finding a sponsor.
