Rockett Brand 114 is recommended where available; there are similar fuels from other suppliers, but we haven't tested with them. A separate map is being prepared for high-octane unleaded race fuel as may be required in some countries.

VP C14 has similar specs, but, again, we haven't tested with it.

Your bike actually comes with an owners manual, that will contain this and other important information. Like did you know that it will take RA59GC spark plugs? What brand that is I haven't a clue! Don't expect too much detail...but at least it is something.

It's supposed to be a kit that you can add and remove from the XBRR. Otherwise they wouldn't
be legal for thunderbike's power to weight formula. Without strapping on lead (ugh)

Appears to be a Champion part #.
From Champion site
NEW 1006 RA59GC $ 9.34
R= resistor
A=12mm 3/4" reach
59= heat range 51-75 are hi-perf
G= fine wire,semi-precious electrode
They have nothing on the "GC" so it must be new.

They are working on the detune kit. They said it wont be just a differnt map. I asked about that already. My best guess would be a different throttle body and/or exhaust. By changing those parts also, you can increase the peak tq number and limit the peak hp to meet class regulations.

I wondered about a restrictor plate, NASCAR style.

it would be easy to change in the pits, but impossible to mess with before tech inspection.

Mechanical changes like that are much harder to try to cheat than electronic changes these days.

But that's my opinion. Please Buell make it a mechanical change to keep the table level for the privateers in thunderbike.
