The Ulysses made it to Nova Scotia and half way back unfortunately. Bad crank bearing according to the HD guys in Honesdale, PA. Also according to them it's a multi-thousand dollar repair in excess of anything for sale on Cycletrader.

So any quick thoughts are what my options are for an '06 with about 52,000 miles, a rear tire with 200 miles : ( , and new rear bearings, axle, and belt (as of leaving Atlanta).

1. Fix it, 2. Sell it, 3. Part it out. 4. ???

If it was my motorcycle I would buy working engine on eBay, sell the broken engine. But it is only because of my Buell is custom with a lot of work put on it. If it would be stock Buell I would trash this piece of crap and would buy modern Japanese motorcycle.

I plan on this happening to my '06 one day and I will rebuild myself. I will only be out the cost of parts and gain some valuable experience and better understanding of the engine in the process.

Yes.

If it was mine, I'd think about putting a Blast motor in it. I'm silly that way though.
