Ever just need to rant? I bought a 2007 Ulysses in amazing cosmetic shape this past February from a used motorcycle dealer. Rode it 1400 miles over three days, where it started having issues with the fan not running and the CEL. I love how this bike rides, but let me just say I am so done with it after it stalled on me and almost locked up the rear wheel while driving this morning. I about put it into the barrier at 65 mph.

She is going up for sale cheap. My life isn't worth that level of fear. Good luck to all of you who ride and wrench on these things. I am out!

Yup, Buells are dangerous due to lack of reliability. If I would need motorcycle for practical reason I would buy Japanese motorcycle.

After some initial failures that happened due to vendors rushing delivery of parts that weren't quite up to snuff my Uly has been very dependable. Once these failures were fixed it's been a great bike. At 48,000 miles I had to change an O2 sensor. First thing I've had to replace in 10 years! Sorry yours failed on you. Unfortunately, buying a used bike and not knowing any of the history is always a gamble.

They are remarkable machines. A little investment pays big rewards. But not if your heart isn't in it. For those people I always say go buy what makes you happy. No hard feelings and I wave at anyone that waves.

Wow. You're sure ready to jump away. Good luck man, hope the next 12 year old motorcycle you buy is perfect in every way.

How the heck do you ride a bike that lets it stall at 65mph!? Not looking to poke fun, just really curious?

I was cruising along in traffic and it just cut out. I grabbed the clutch and coasted it out, but the grooved concrete pattern on the road caused it to snap in an off balance position. That's what rattled me.

The frustrating part is both the dealer and the Harley dealer I took it to, gave it a clean bill of health. The HD dealer did that prior to me buying it. At any rate, I have had nothing but bad luck since the 1125. I will keep my Cyclone and close this chapter out personally.

Anyone who wants a Buell Ulysses in Colorado with tour pack, brand new Dean Adams skid plate low miles, plenty of tread, and 1500 miles since an oil change. Let me know. $2500 and she is yours. Paid $4700 earlier this year. My loss is your gain.
