It's not my fault. I'm loyal to the uly. Been looking to sit on the impossible to find ktm 1190 R. Nobody seems to have them. Finally find a dealer that has one in, fully tour tech kit. Ok, I'll come down, not serious, just looking. I sit on it. I like it. But No way I'm going to buy this. Wife walks in, says to salesman, "WHAT'S the bottom line." Buys it on the spot. I love her. Also love my wife. 600 miles later I'm still grinning. Will be interesting to see what's still running in a few years. Ktm because of bad reliability, or Buell because of parts availability.

You'd better hold onto that wife of yours!

It's said, "when happiness comes along to give it a comfortable seat".

So
I plan on keeping the Uly,
Also the wife. Unfortunately she was the only girl in the family. Raised amongst brothers, she likes bikes, sports cars and has her own big toolbox and power tools. We just did a nice ride on the Blue Ridge this past week. Sort of missed the Uly riding with her for it's comfortable seat, resolved heat issues and composure.

So how did you resolve the heat issues. My Uly seems to be running very hot this summer, roasting my thighs. Even felling the heat on 60 degree mornings we had.

ref: Sprintex heat issues. do a search under big bad and dirty for Timbobuell. The 5th post that comes up is the seat mod I did that cost little. I have long legs so I did this mainly for peg to seat height. The other benefits realized were massive ecu clearance, lots of airflow under seat, and a totally cool bottom. I run a trailtech and move the two temp sensors around and get the coolest engine head and area temps with the sealing tape in place. Go figure right. The black seat cover pictured has been removed and the seat is much cooler sitting directly on the 10 buck bead seat. Total comfort, no sliding into tank feel.
