What is holding the tank bag in place? Magnets don't usually stick to plastic. Good luck with traveling thru some of the crappy weather that I am sick of! I love my 06 too, but mine is black. | ||

Hi and thanks all...The bike has 9k miles on it...and the bag is made by buell for the bike...it has straps that bolt down with the tank cover | ||

9k miles? Damn, that thing is brand new and fully equipped, too. Hope you have time to cruise the big easy before you head back up to winter. | ||

Awesome bike. That Buell bag was available from Buell in '06 to about '08 for the Uly. It has straps that attach to the air cover bolts with a velcro base. It stands up about two more inches with a zipped extender and it has a clear cover pocket. They change the design in '08 and it was over for me, the later ones were rounded and seemed smaller. | ||

Tires are factory Dunlop D616 and I'll never change unless they quit making them. I can drag footpegs on pavement and throw roostertails on gravel/dirt - perfect. Cases are factory cases, but the silver panels were pulled and painted Ford orange ("Hugger Orange"?). Etenully painted these panels, but you can get DupliColor spraypaint at your local AutoStoned....I also painted my sidecase gray "bumpers" with Krylon Fusion texture black paint. Now my sidecases are all black with orange inserts. love 'em. | ||

I like my barricade orange also.  Joe is correct about the Ford color being close enough for bag matching. Buell had no color code for paint because everything was cast in plastic without paint. His Dunlop tires are great tires. They hook really well on the road and give decent traction on dirt, good for about 6,000 miles on a rear. I have gone with Michelin Pilot Road II tires, the off road/wet grass sucks, but I get over 10,000 on a rear and they turn in a little easier on good twisties. | ||

Finally got back to PGH!!! couldnt be happier with my new Uly. Rode it for a few hours in La...then trucked it back. Yesterday i got her legal and inspected ...and of course went for a ride   | ||
