there is a bracket between the primary case & the clutch cable adjuster... what does it attach to?

There is a clamp that fixes the clutch cable to the lower tie bar.
There is a bracket (formerly called a "wire form") that bolts to the front isolator to keep the rubber boot from touching the header.
