I have hard time installing the spring that goes around the pivot pin. Any special tools/technics? TIA. |

you gotta cram it in there. i line it up with a #2 phillips scewdriver and , with the peg folded back to compress the spring, massage the pin into place. i noticed on my '03 the pins are not tapered at the ends. i dunno when they started doing that, but it helps alot. |

i did the trick with a round piece of wood that is just cut tho the size of the top to lower hole of the peg (with the spring installed in place) then i just tapped it with the pin, and it was dead easy. |

The pegs from Precision come with that piece that Pontlee used already in place, makes life easy. |

Lube the pin with some grease. This makes it easier to slide the pin in. |
