What did you use? I used a pair of SM5050 led strips. Hard to tell by this pic, but I think its actually brighter than the tail light:

I have a bulk of leftover board mount LEDs like used in modern tail lights. I have amber and red, so I may just do the side bags as well, just not as easy to install as this was.

While I was at it, I also installed and ran a switched 12v supply into the bag to keep the necessities charged up! All with a quick disconnect on the bag base for easy removal.

Sometimes my boredom really scares me!

I've been thinking of doing a side-bag light install. Will probably use some contact points from an RV door switch - mount one side, the pins, to the saddlebag frame; the other side of the switch, the plates, go on the bag itself. Still quick-detachable. Just have to get the parts and figure out the mounts.

Nice looking lights. I pulled the internals out of a Dodge Magnum high mount stoplight and put them in, on a flasher. I also replaced the tag light with a Whelen TIR3 police light. The stock brake light is on the "other" side of the flasher circuit (using a 2 channel emergency flasher box, programmable flash patterns, mounted inside the rear fender by the trunk lock).

I'll have to get a photo.
