Anyone consider the Pirelli MT-21 Rallycross rear tire in size 120/90R-17 size for a front knobby?

Realize the height will be a little off ("90" vs. "70" aspect ratio), and may require removing the center portion of the front fender, but any tire experts out there have an opinion?

Its tubeless and DOT, priced under $80.

I'm running a week-long offroad trip (WA Backroads Discovery Route) this summer and I just don't think the Pirelli MT-60R is going to be the best option up front.

Mileage is not a concern.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Some aftermarket company should start producing off-road rims for this bike...

I had the Rallycrosses on the rear of my dual sport and they worked well, but I didn’t like the front. I had found a real good dot approved front but I don’t remember what it was. Sorry.

I tried a Shinko 705 on the front of my Uly with Touratech engine guard and bash plate, unfortunately the rubbed the engine guard.

DU - Thanks for that feedback, though not mounted, I also have the Touratech guards that I would fit with this tire set up...

Just don't think any tires with knobbies are set up as 120/70-17, either front or rear...

Guess it can be an $80 investment - - or I can wear the knobs down before mounting the Touratech engine guard

I'm all over those as soon as I get a spare $3k.
