My 07 Uly has always been sluggish revving, so after I reset the TPS today I moved the entire ignition map for both cylinders 1 deg. advanced.
What a big difference. More power, very fast revving, and it ran 10 degrees cooler oil temperature.
So, do I leave the map advanced or put it back and advance the timing on the crank ?

If that works so much better than it did, why change it? I would say run it.

It is also fairly difficult to get an accurate read on the crank timing. Kind of like pushing a rope.

your right, if it works, run it.
Im just concerned because all the other Buells seem to need the timing backed off a bit.
when I said sluggish revving, i mean i could stall the motor by bliping the throttle.
Even with the 1 deg. advance it still coughs a bit if you roll on the gas to quickly, so I gonna add an extra degree and see what happens.
Sounds like i should just get the famous Erik Buell Racing best drive map and be done with it.
