I need to pickup a few airbox cover guards for my various Buell's. Those pro-grip things look like ass, and that nice Buell metal one is unobtanium now. Anyone know of any other solutions? |

isn't the one you want the same thing being offered for sale by St. Paul Harley on ebay? |

WHen I bought my Uly, it had one that was all dented up so I took it off and polished out the airbox. I was going to look for a new one, but then I thought "Why?" Any scratches that come along will just polish out. I agre tho, too many of them look retarded on our bikes! I too would be at least interested to see what others are doing that looks good. |

Bastards, apparently typing in "Buell Airbox" in the ebay search dosen't bring them up! Going to have to stock up now. Still whats our solution as these are drying up? |

I used a piece of clear # plate background from a local dirt bike shop as a buckle guard. |

Thanks for the link. I just scratched my airbox up putting my seat back on, so I ordered one. (Message edited by DynaSport on May 19, 2010) |

Anyone know how to remove them and apply them to a new cover in the future? Also, I got a PM about stuff American Sport Bike sells, anyone use this? http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/5757.html |

They are pretty thin aluminum. With the adhesive that comes on them I would venture that they are impossible to remove without bending. |

Could try getting it warm and sawing with some fishing line. |

Froggy - I have used those paintguard sheets before. They do as advertised and you can barely tell they are there (for a while anyway) |

The only way it won't get scratched is if you don't use it. |

I'm partial to these: http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/9010.html Depending on how well I can take care of it (i.e. how long it takes me to scratch the crap out of it), I may toss one on my (black) CR. On my Uly, though, it'd be nothing more than an odd-looking clean spot |

Froggy, I used them on my 9SX for the seat rails and soft luggage Buell sells. I thought they sucked balls. They did not stay in one place long. I would not use them again. Now what Ratbuell is showing worked great on my 9SX. When I got another air box I tried to get the carbon cover off. Could not come off. Great product. |

I got my airbox cover from the link Andy posted above in the mail Saturday. I haven't had a chance to install it yet, but it looks nice. |
