I ordered the Buell Outdoorsman bags yesterday for my Uly. Today the dealership emailed me that they are not available.

Can someone please confirm this for me.

Thanks!

Well on the regular Uly luggage that was damaged in my accident, one bag is 3 weeks and the other is 1 month to come in

Hate when I hit enter too early!

Both the bags are coming directly from the vendor not from Harley/Buell rather directly from the company that makes them. So I remember a post a while back on someone that found the company that made them. Maybe check with them directly?

Have your dealer look up the luggage for a 2009 or 2010 Ulysses XP police bike, they had Outdoorsman bags.

All you "need" - as countless threads in the past have listed ad nauseum - are the left bracket, the right bracket, the bridge brace, and the turn signal relocation plate. The bags are standard Hepco-Becker, and the topcase rack is the same as a regular Ulysses XT topcase rack. Nuts and bolts are standard hardware store fare.

Well. From what I've been told by my HD dealership. The outdoorsman side and top boxes (#M1930.1AK) are no longer available. They checked with their parts locator to see if any dealership has them, and it came back that no one does.

I wanted to be them as a set, but may have to piece the order together by ordering through Hepco-Becker. Since I don't have the side racks the cases mount to, I'll have to figure that out too. Anyone know of the part numbers for just the rack system?

M1930.1AK is the number for the SET.

They should still be able to order a left case, a right case, a top case...a left rack, a right rack, a top rack...

Have them get on H-Dnet and go to the "kit inquiry" screen. Enter M1930.1AK. That will give them an on-screen list of every single part that is in the kit. They can click on any of the parts, and it will do an inquiry on that part as to availability.

Or...I could try and post what I have here on my computer (anyone know the best way to paste one page of a .pdf here on badweb?). But....here's the text of it, no sexy formatting or anything:

Thanks Ratbuell. That's a lot of info! I'm gonna have to do my homework now and see if ordering just the pieces I need from HD and the rest from Hepco-Becker makes sense. I sure would prefer to just get the entire package (like I could have if I ordered it a month or so ago)!!!

5, 6, 8, 10, 11, and 22 are the only pieces you HAVE to get from Buell.

Splice in 4" extension wires and re-use your existing turn signals in the new location. Hardware store for the hardware. Couple layers of duct or electrical tape for the "protective tape". Hepco-Becker dealer for the bags; should be able to order them as a keyed set (worst case, individual locks are only $7 each and each lock comes with 2 keys). I've dealt with Chris at eurotechmotorsports.com for a few HB items in the past, great guy, good service. And the nice thing about doing it this way is...you get the rear-latch sidecase brackets, opening up the possibility of - literally - ANY Hepco-Becker sidecase for your bike. Those of us with the Journey setup are locked in to the Journey bags because of passenger peg interference with other bags on these brackets.

And you missed a full set by much more than a month...

Do be prepared to wait. I ordered a new topcase rack about 5 weeks ago and am still waiting. I knew it would take a while so I am not complaining. My dealer says the parts are coming vendor direct and can't really provide much more info.

I got the topcase from a fellow badwebber so I cannot speak to the lead time on the cases, but I would guess those would not take as long since they are not Buell specific like the racks.

Ok, I just ordered those (6) rack parts from New Castle HD. I did not order any hardware. Does anyone have a list for the exact "Lowes" hardware needed for these racks?

Thanks
Rog
