Spotted an incredibly fast black Uly X parked in front of a tattoo parlor on Market Street in downtown Frederick, MD, today (Saturday) 3/27/09 at about 3:20pm. It had temporary tags on it, so my guess is that you just bought it from Ratbuell down the road from there and just had to get a Buell tattoo to celebrate (heyyy...that's not such a bad idea).

I was on my unbelievably fast black Uly X after picking up one of those great Uly t-shirts at Frederick H-D/B (too bad THEY don't come in black). It's a great shirt. I took the day off to tour the Monocacy Battlefield up there - great museum just down from the dealer.

See the DC storm front, but that's Chris' Uly, he works there. Just got it from us - our third Uly sale in 3 days! Then I took my weekend, and came back today and sold an 1125R.

Neil...that name came across my desk on a coupon today. Shoulda said 'hi'! : )

GO BUELL!!! We're takin' over!!! : )

I looked around the floor for ya', but didn't recognize anyone from all those post-crash photos of yours I saw on here all those months ago. Didn't want to pull you away from anything - I'll stop by again soon - I liked the fact that you guys have a CR with the upright handlebars...I need to try that.

Yeah, I think Megan brought the coupon in while we were having a sales meeting in Jason's office. Sorry 'bout that.

As a rule, if there's a Buell right outside the front door (my dirtball Uly today), I'm there. If you see a tall, lanky dude in some sort of Buell shirt - that's me : ) Please, always take a sec to introduce yourself, even if that's all I have time to process. I love putting faces to badweb names!

I like the CR with the riser bar kit, too.

I haven't ridden it yet, on purpose. I suspect I'll REALLY like it. REALLY REALLY. And I've been informed that I own enough Buells at this point. grrr. lol.

Yeah, I definitely took today off, on purpose. I'm proposing to my girlfriend tomorrow (aughhhh!) and I needed a day to sleep in, get on the bike, get my thoughts together, and just take some time for myself. I had a good lunch at The Tasting Room (a grizzled Harley couple down at the other end of the bar sipping white wine), and enjoyed some country roads west of Frederick.

Some folks on BadWeb might remember that I posed the question a few months ago about how to reconcile "the diamond" versus "the new bike (probably a CR)". I got tons of feedback - pro and con - and I learned a hell of a lot about the diamond trade and diamond prices (I'm a skeptic), and it gave me great pause about what the heck this "diamond ring thing" truly means.

But, I know I love this girl, and this is what she wants. She doesn't question what I want (four bikes and a fully loaded sport sedan?!?!? A long solo bike trip or two per year!?!?), so I can accommodate. I'm lucky that I inherited a nice stone from a great aunt, so I have saved thousands of dollars and made a really nice ring that I know will remind me of this part of our life.

It's weird, and I haven't met any of you all (trying to change that), but I really enjoy the connection we have on this forum. Therefore, I think many of you might enjoy these shots. I figure I bought the thing, I might as well have some fun with it before it leaves my hands (after an evening of solid adult beverages):

Spot da ring!

Ring 1

ring 2

ring 3

Ha! That's a brand new Sync (the flash made it look bald). Looking forward to new roads, new rides, and new friends.

Ishai - I've got a good friend in Owings Mills, so I sometimes find myself riding up to visit. I'll drop a line next time I do.

Congrats on the proposal. Did it about 2.5 years ago myself, and my wife hasn't let me regret it yet!
