I used to do some spelunking years ago, mainly in Kentucky and Indiana. Ever heard of Sullivan's Cave in KY? It's a bizarre experience, especially when you camp overnight in the cave. You can really freak yourself out if you're not careful.
I'm always looking for caving buddies. I try not to cave with less the 4 people. I have a group of friends but not everyone is always available all the time.
there are over 9000 caves in TN. 2 nice ones are in nashville!
you know where 96 and 70 intersect near center hill lake? that is were the pic was taken.
wanna go on the next trip? I can email you the details.
So what happens if everyone else makes it through a hole, it's the only way back and then you get completely stuck? Do they withhold water and food from you until you lose enough weight to get unstuck or do they hit you in the head with a rock and then cut you into small enough pieces to clear the hole? I just don't get the allure of caves unless they are full of gold or diamonds or I'm waiting out Armageddon with its subsequent radiation levels on the surface. Once the rad levels come down, I'll go completely Mad Max with the ULY and my Kabar. After seeing "The Descent" it fortified my dislike of the underworld.http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi2810904857/
Yeah....climbing that rope would be a PITA. I've repelled quite a bit, so getting INTO the cave would be easy. However, I'd need someone who could dead lift 200lbs to get my ass back out.
