Was the pinch bolt - right at the top - the one in full open view. Torqued up but wasn't tight. Crash damage or gunk in the thread. Saga ends. |

Ahh.. thanks for the update. I ended up replacing my headset bearings. Seems to have solved the problem. The old bearings looked good though so maybe just going through everything is wut dun it. Ohh whell...I had to change my fork oil anyway. |

Was a longer running saga than should have been because I've had heaps of test bikes. Uly has been under blankets. It's a happy bike again now though. |

So did you still use the original capnut, just cleaned up or what? I just retorqued mine last week and it still feels a little loose. At 50k it could be anything I guess but I'll pull it off this w/e and check the threads. Glad to see you got it solved simply. |

Not sure sorry - It was all insurance work, I haven't lifted a spanner. |
