Author Message   Bking Posted on Monday, August 04, 2008 - 10:49 am:        My 07 Uly has run great since new. It is one sweet running bike with no problems. I am approaching 10,000 miles this month. With the horror stories I read about the HD mechanics servicing Buells, I am nervous taking it in. The dealer I bought it from has a hard time with Buells: parts department is confused on Buell parts. 1,000 mile service, the service writer didn't know and was confused about the Buell nomenclature, XB12X. Perhaps I can have them just do the things I don't/can't do myself, such as TPS reset and changing fork oil. No real issues, follow the Service Manual and all will be well. When I took mine in for original service they screwed up the TPS, once I got the software and cable and did it myself bike has run great.   Tocramed Posted on Monday, August 04, 2008 - 11:54 am:        As I just recently found out...ECMspy is free software (www.ecmspy.com) and the cable is ~$40. I have been doing more and more myself. The manual, this website, and the right tools should do unless something major comes up. Is there anything "special" about the Uly's inverted Showa that a proven Honda tech couldn't properly handle? I realize there's plenty of info on do-it-yourself...
