Im wondering if anyone has found any other seats out there that fit taller (6'4") riders? I really liked the seat on my 06 12x, well that bike is sold and I now have an 08 XT. If I had been wiser I would have kept the 06 seat. The 12xt is a great bike, the seat is awful at best. I've looked at the corbin gunfighter but didnt like what I saw. Ive done some searches but didnt come up with anything useful. So any other directions I can get pointed would be great. thanks

Get an 06 standard Uly seat. It'll gain you about 1.5 inches of height.

I just had Tobin Seats re-cushion/cover my seat. I think it's a lot more comfortable and looks better, too.

out of curiosity cash, why would you get the xt opposed to the x outside of the fact you get the luggage and better tires.

where's tobin out of prowler.

Keep a eye on the classifieds here, there are people constantly swapping seats, just get yourself the 06 standard tall seat and pawn off your current one : )

the reason I went with the XT was I do 99% of my riding on the street. It seemed like the XT was more suited to do that straight of the showroom floor. I think I made the right choice if I can get a better seat.

sheep skin pad??

Cheap, and I have had good results w/ mine on a few different bikes (of course, I don't think the '08 seat is awful)

YMMV

i aint got no padding in my butt so if it aint really soft then it's hard to me. have a corbin for the m2 and i hate it but i let my buddy use it and he loves it. and by putting anything on top, i don't need to add to the height. i'm just thinking about having the gell inserted instead.

For "Tobin Seats", just Google it. He's got a web site that shows some of his seats and lists prices, etc.

The 06 standard seat will fit right up, and I think it's less than $120 retail. I ride an 06 UlyX and love the seat too (also 6'4"). I just wish mine was all black...the orange under the triple-tail gets stained because I'm always out in the rain and mud, lol.
