That's what I've been doing while riding my newly acquired X! Never did that on the sportbike. I cannot believe how cool this bike is. It feels slightly wider than my DRZ400SM but not really much heavier, even though in reality it's over 100 pounds more! Nice engineering, Mr Buell... It corners better than my recently departed R6, but I can ride it all day without Advil. Took my wife out for a ride yesterday and she said when the weather is warmer we will be spending a lot of time together on it as it is very comfortable.

Still in the break-in phase but I love the so-called 'lump'. Torque is a new sensation for me after the 599cc I4 Yamaha. I must say it freakin' rules! Shifting is WAY better than the Firebolt I rode a few years ago. And holy shnikes is the front end light. I like it...

FINALLY a bike I know I will keep for more than one season. It does everything I want it to, and is an absolute blast - errr - Uly. It's Ulycious.

yea, it seems to be a keeper here to. we had an scg that i wrecked back in october and for some reason i could never feel comfortable on it. on the xt, it's a totally different story. feels comfortable, easy to handle, the wife is comfortable on it and it has luggage. absolutely no regrets. glad your enjoying the bike and it seems like your not regretting it so far so that's good.

The Uly is the Cessna 182 if motorcycles. Not the fastest or most powerful, but comfy and confidence inspiring.

I ran in the beginner group this past week. I think there were more than a few sport bike folks who were surprised to see a gigantic dual sport running with them. : D

I still haven't learned how to wheelie. : |

Yup, imagine being in the A group running with expert racers on a Uly!

This is the only bike I have owned that will do track days, commute, off road, jump, travel etc... Really is a jack of all trades and a master of none but comfort.

Congrats on the new ride man!

Driven, I too came from the R6. Two of them to be exact as well as a few bikes prior. You're description matches my sentiment exactly. This bike rocks! Congrats on your new ride. Be advised, the laughing out loud while riding won't stop anytime soon.
