Has anyone done the homework on doing the changes from an 06 to XT?

I have the windshield I want, all the buell bags, was interested more in the suspension, lowering it, and the front fender.

How much to swap everything?

Can you swap just springs and rear hock or do you have to do forks?

How much for the front fender (yes I know about eBay)?

I love my XB12X but would like a change, and never really take it off-road, and I loved my XB12S '04.

Let me know or point me in the direction of a thread that has the info if I missed it.

Thanks

You gain less than an inch in lower height.

For what you would need to spend to swap out parts, you could have GMD or Traxxion Dynamics rework it with Penske suspension.

I currently have S/R wheels on mine.

Other than the steering lock enhancement and upgraded front suspenders, I think you'd spend a lot of money and not see much for it.

Shoot me info on this suspension rework, I looked up Penske rear shocks and they were retartedly expensive as oppose to an XB12SS stock rear suspension on ebay for 100 bucks.

If I could throw the fork springs in there to drop that down that would be great, I tried pulling off the stocker front fender, but it just leaves too big of a gap from the lights to the wheel for me to find it asthetically pleasing. If the fork were shorter it would look like the XT which would be acceptable, I am looking to lower it more for that reason than the actual height, if I had problems with the height I would have swapped out the stock seat by now : D.

I do like the long travel but don't think I would miss the extra inch of travel, who knows, worth a try!

Try this thread:

They redid the shock and put in shorter springs to soak up the length of the front forks. They measured him and determined the ride height he wanted.

I think it cost about $1,500 for the entire thing, but he went with Penske which were hella expensive. You could go with Elka (the rear I'm going to get) or a set of Hyperpro.

There are other great shocks and springs out there.

Here's who did his:

This is probably who'll I'll use:

I swapped out for the 07TT front and rear suspension, and I think it was around 1100 and it worked fantastic
