Hey all you Photoshop experts out there! I'm mulling over a few options for changing the color on my new Uly, and I'd like to get an idea on how it would look before I go painting stuff. Would anyone mind giving me a little hand by changing the colors in Photoshop of the orange pieces on this picture? I'm thinking of either an army olive green (like No_Rice's kick-ass Firebolt), or perhaps a nice, deep forest green.

Thanks,
EV

P.S. If it's not too much trouble, can you change the chin spoiler too?

I agree all the ones with the bottom piece colored also seem tied together better.

Thanks for the help!

I like the 'darker green', but I had an even darker shade in mind. If you know GM stuff, it's the shade of dark green they used on Cadillacs, Corvettes, Camaros, and Firebirds in the mid '90's. called "Polo Green".

Thanks,
EV

I always liked the old British racing green. Well maybe it was called European racing green. I remember it being real dark and deep.

De50mon,

that's a Firebird in "Blue-Green Chameleon", a very cool flip-flopping color I had on my '95 Trans Am. On a Camaro it was called "Mystic Teal".

Thanks,
EV

I agree with Bertotie-If they made the pieces in that Dark British Racing Green I may be tempted to swap out my very fast and clean black pieces. Maybe even get a set of those orange/tangerienne(sp) wheels.

Here is a British racing green car. Not as dark as I remember it, may be the lighting.

You're right. I had a Triumph Spitfire when I was younger and it was British Racing Green - certainly not the same color as in that picture.

A-ha!

I finally figured out where this dark green-over-dark gray color scheme found it's way into my brain .....

I'll have to dig and then scan it, but I'll look tonight. I loved that little car.

I'd go for the lime or red. How about a nice candy apple red with pearl over it!
And lose the gray on the chin spoiler. What a dirt catcher!

Bertotti - not sure how much this will help, but here it is. It's the only picture I have of my favorite little ride.

That is closer, you can tell the pic has faded and the bright light makes the green stand out more. I remember it still a deeper green. Gotta love those nimble little cars though.

I drove the wheels off of that little car! Of course, my Dad made me learn how to work on it if I was going to drive it. Needless to say, I got A LOT of practice on that car.

Bert - you've got my going down memory lane and reminding me just how much character those little cars had. Love all that you can find on the internet. Here are a few pics I found that might show more of what you're looking for.

Ulywife-Seems like you have a penchant for Triumphs. You know the MGB had a british racing green in 65. I had an MGA loved the car. Autocrossed it.

I do love those little british cars. My Dad used to autocross a GT6. Just like motorcycles, they get in your blood and don't leave easily!

You know; British cars are like British bikes. You work on them all week long so that on Sunday, you can drive (ride) over to a friend's house to work on it.
