May have been, their website listed it as a used bike. Anyway I called and it was already sold ($9k) for a bike with 10,000 k on it. Sounds like a smokin deal?

I didnt look too closely, so I cant comment too closely.

Kamloops DO know how to work on the Buells though, and I've got no complaints about their service dept, so if it was originally theirs, all the work was done there, and it had goodies ( hard bags, etc) $9k canadian was probably a good buy for someone

what are you planning on doing with your 9R?

what trials bikes are you considering? I've been eyeballing the gasgas, and serco bikes for a few months, but cant decide between a trials bike, and a small enduro that I can ride to the trails.

also, I sent you a PM re, your 9R 'cause my SO is looking this year, too.

Gasgas or Beta, actully anything I can get a good deal on. I got your PM, like anything if the price is right it's gone. My 9R is in nice shape with some decent options, low mileage and taken care of, would make a nice bike for her.

I will do a little more Uly shopping, when would she like to purchase?

not till the snow goes, at least - she'll want to take it for a spin. At five foot nothing, her options are limited, but the balance and CG on the Buells help loads. She can manage my CityX with the low seat, so she's hoping the other buells might work: kinda busty though, so shes not certain the more prone position will work for her. ( didnt like the Suzuki SV's at all for that reason!)

would make for easy on me for both service, and long trips if both bikes are more-or-less equal.

Ulendo, Have your SO try out a Lightning Low. It has a lower seat height, along with Lightning bars which are easily exchanged for other tubular handlebars. If she doesn't care for a 9R, then a CG might be just the right Buell for her.

Hi Jerry,
The move was nixed - guy on the other end just never got back to me. Kinda sucks, cause job hunting has slowed me up on the mods to the X. In kelowna still for now. Drop me an email sometime - hard drive on my main machine crashed completely, and I've lost your contact info.

Crusty - cg is pretty useless where I am, and would be endlessly bottoming out. Also, she's a relatively new rider, so the 1200 is probably too much ( even the '9'is pushing it). insurance on the 12's also sucks here. FWIW, she CAN manage my cityx with the low seat....just. Worst case, she's comfortable with the idea of a Blast.

~27" or thereabouts. ( I think) When she tried the CityX, it was workable, so likely the 9R would be about ergos rather than the height. Dont forget that the '06 cityX stock seat is second only to the '06 Ulys in height.
