Hey all, I have tried both the factory "tall" screen - which will be fine for the warm weather, but winter finally arrived today- and the Cee Bailey 14" screen - gave good torso protection but the buffetting and deafening windnoise were too much to take. Has anyone tried the Cal scientific. It looks like a well designed piece and has that vent which if you have never tried usually works great. Any other ideas guys - it was around 30 this am so......tis the season for wind protection! T.I.A., Matt | ||

I would check www.Parabellum.com They have a new Uly windshield that is so new it is not on their website yet. They will email you pictures and details. From every thing I have read and heard they have a very good reputation. | ||

Parabellum has their new windshield on their site now. Without upper shield supports, I'm leaning towards the Cal Scientific because of the vent. That has to reduce wind load on the upper portion of the shield. Or as EG97 has stated, upper supports can be purchased from slipsteamer. I have a Laminar Lip at the moment, which is good for most situations. I might just stay with my current set-up. | ||

i SAW THAT AT THE PARABELLUM SITE (damn cap lock). It looks like it just pops into the old mounts - has to be flimsy - the cal scientific uses a hard mount system with both the std and the screws of the main fairing. I'm leaning toward the Cal Scientific unless someone else know something. Thanks, Matt | ||

Gamdh, How does it work? The Cee Bailey was not very good for me - it looks like like the parrabellum is raised above the fly screen, that should have a similar effect as the vent no? Matt | ||

Yes, the Parabellum is raised above the fly screen. He left the stock rubber grommets in the fly screen then added hardware from behind the fly screen that would allow him to bolt into. He also put some spacers into the grommets to that they would not but crushed. There are washers (rubber coated) on both sides of the windshield. He has multiple sizes.. I have tested the shorter one and the very large one. The smaller one (still much bigger than anything I've seen) was nice.. he is still working out a few issues with he larger one.
