While riding home the other day (in the dark, around 80mph) on the PA Turnpike, I noticed that my low beam wasn't on.?.?.? This naturally causes a bit of angst. Is my tail light on? WTF? Anyway, I flipped over to high beam and it came on. Safe ride home, check the lights and everything works except the low beam.... I haven't looked at the fuses so all I can do is speculate at this point.

Does the low beam have a separate/ dedicated fuse? Neither the owners nor the service manuel really says much about the lights or the fuses.

Anybody else have this happen? I haven't read anything like this yet.

Sounds like a fried bulb to me, too.

80mph on the turnpike at night? You must have a bambi deathwish!

Bambi / schambi!

I did it without a headlight two-up!

Good thing the wife didn't know what was going on at the time.

When I got home, I took a closer look at the bulb and the filament is broken. A blown bulb for sure.

Now the only questions are; Why?, Is the volt reg. ok?, What about the stator? Is this a warranty issue?

All will be revealed on Sunday when I go for the race kit required TPS reset.

I put a Silver Star in my low beam before 500 miles (Feb). It failed at about 6000 miles (late May-early June). I put another one in then, so far so good (8400 now). I carry the oem stocker as a spare. I realize the SS won't last as long as a regular H7 but hope the early failure was an anomaly. HID is not too far in the future.
