I ordered my Orange Ulysses on Feb 10, I finally get to pick it up in about 17-18 hours, not that I'm counting or anything. Will be up nice and early for the 200+km (125 mile) trip to the dealer and then a good run in type ride home. |

Congratulations. Be sure to post your first impressions. I remember my ride home after picking the Uly up. Way too short. Followed the wife home, kissed her and thanked her for taking me down to the dealer and quickly jumped back on the bike and disappeared for 3 hours. |

Congrats, Terence and welcome! Too bad you had to get one of the slower orange ones but it's still a great bike.....

You do realize that you're going to be stuck wearing that silly grin every time you go for a ride, I assume? |

Try to spend the time breaking it in correctly per the manual-but it is hard to be that patient...... Orange is definitely faster!!!!! |

All of 249 kms today. Loving it with no surprises based thanks to info from this site. Vibrating horn is an irritation I will fix in the near future. |

400kms. Told the wife I was going for a 1 hour ride and was gone for 3 hours. Seat is harder than the demo one but no doubt will break in nice. Gee it drags the looks, gets more attention than my Street Rod. Its a little snatchy down low but plenty of torque. I was expecting the suspension to be softer than it feels at present. I suspect those finding it a little soft have been used to firmer sports bikes or haven't had it set up for their weight. Wife loves it from a pillion perspective. Typically I've taken delivery about the busiest time I've had this year. I want to get the 800kms up ASAP (Message edited by Tel on June 19, 2006) |

Front end definitely has that swimming type feeling. Not disconcerting but certainly there. Gearbox is a little notchy but will no doubt improve as more miles get on it. Got rid of the vibration with the horn, used a small neoprene disk. |

I've now decided I may avoid night rides in my area. Too many marsupials trying to throw themselves under my new bike. |

Tel - Lots of people have the swimming. It doesn't really hurt anything, but if you find it bothersome, put some other type of tire on it when you wear out this set. Scorpion Syncs have been recomended by some. As for the marsupials, I've had that problem myself. We actually have one species here in North America, but it's so ugly that it looks better after you run over it. |

I'm going to fiddle with the suspension settings a little. The swimming really doesn't bother me though. Bl**dy skippy was too big to argue with! |

Delighted with the factory recommended settings in the manual. Front end dive is almost completely eliminated and handling definitely sharper. I've never owned a road bike with this much adjustment in the suspension. |

They are extremely adjustable. I am continually impressed by this bike. I've had it since the end of September and it's like the "newness" factor hasn't worn off. I still look for excuses to take it somewhere. me: Oh? We need a gallon of milk? I'll run down on the Uly and pick one up. my wife: OK, but don't turn it into an hour ride. |
