After 1509 miles, considered my bike fully ready for a good spirited ride. The white pony (14 1190sx) hit 150 a few times, which really becomes a workout on the neck, with my gopro being mounted on the top of my helmet. The front end was set up too heavy, and I was worried about pushing the girl 100 percent on streets, so the front tire still has a few chicken strip millimeters left.

The front brake is fully bedded, and the clutch master felt soft after a small session of wtfo. I also found myself frustrated with the throttle throw. I have to really work hard just to get it wide open, the throw is so long!

I roll on raced a 13 cbr1000, keeping even until 100. My 70 plus pound weight handicap, as well as no fairing, meant I was doomed from the start. Pulling out of the corners short shifting, I had a lot of fun, but actually was left wanting more low end grunt. I also feel like this platform could safely support quite a bit more power through the twisties. I found myself trying unsuccessfully to power the rear tire out, unless I was past 30 degrees lean in 2nd or 3rd. I would love to see a 225hp v4 in this frame.

I hope we get to see more out of this chassis. I hope Tuesday is a good day! I may post a few clips of the shenanigans...

The throttle tube can be changed to offer a faster roll-on cable pull that takes less wrist movement to WOT. The stock EBR throttle tube is a 1/5 rotation to WOT. Replace the stock tube with a Yamaha '07 and newer R6 Model throttle tube. It changes the total roll-on amount down to a 1/6 rotation, and thus makes it a quicker turn to WOT. It is a cheap mod that takes about 15 minutes to do. The EBR unit is the same size as the middle 38.5mm diameter tube.

The bike will feel faster in most cases if you turn off the TC. Even as low as 2 cuts in enough to knock some power down but works well enough you may not feel it. Of course please be careful and ride at your own risk if your used to the TC saving you.
