Can we work up to "Best Roadie" soon? Winter is definitely here by looking at the posts. They are interesting anyway.

Michel Petrucciani

Jessica Williams

This list could go on forever and eventually I'd have to add Werner, the German born pianist who was a technician at Steinway Piano (next to the power plant I am building) and who comes to our house 3 times a year to tune the Grand Piano in the living room.

I can't play beyond my own simple entertainment. Vickie does ok and Colin plays primarily as a composition tool (although I love the sound of Take Five coming from the living room)..but when Werner comes to tune......

Well, he takes about 20 minutes to tune the thing, then chews my butt for not "exercising the keyboard" or for closing the cover and depriving the sound board of air.

But then, just to "save" the piano, he sits and plays for an hour. I act annoyed...."hey, I didn't pay you to come here and practice" but in my heart I love it. An 82 year-old man who has only become better with time.

Between the guitar studio in the basement and him playing upstairs, I'm surprised I don't have to buy tickets to get in the house.

A house filled with music is generally filled with love. Music changes everything.
