"I wouldn't trust Bill Clinton with my daughter, I sure as hell don't trust him with my guns"

Guns don't kill people but they sure help!
P.S.
What's the deal with Afghanistan yanking the cable channel(s) due to Charlton Heston's knobby knees in the old Moses flicks?

In the words of Ted Nugent: "The ability to put the second shot in the hole left by the first shot is perfect gun control."

Good thread and fun quotes. How about...

"Teddy Kennedy's car has killed more people than my guns."

Looks like now you can add Janklow and at least one other Senator (the one that prompted the Terry McBride Memorial HWY in TN) to that list.

"Fear the Government that fears your guns."

Then you can always get Hitler's old quote about how he made Germany a safer place in the early 1930's by taking away all the citizen's firearms.

Yeah, total gun control meant no resistance from the general population. Bet at least the Jews in Germany would have been happier dying with a gun in their hand than in a Freakin' Shower!!!

Ever wonder how far the Brown Shirts and the ensuing Nazi Party would have got if the citizens were still armed? Heck, with that kind of uprising, perhaps England, France, Russia or the Slavic Nations would have stepped in to intervene.

If you have studied your history, you know damned well the US would not have helped. Interesting how that attitude has changed with the times.

Lots of lessons learned from WWI and WWII. Too bad Congress didn't remember the total commitment thing when it came time for Korea and Vietnam. Hopefully, those days are over as well.

It is axiomatic that the first person that brings up Hitler in an argument loses.

That said, Outriders above post is correct IMHO

Just for the sake of explaining my last post. I usually try to convey concepts and ask related questions.

If I am right, fine perhaps I have helped those less into the issue. If wrong, I learn from my faux pas. Never to old to learn something new.

I like these words... which is claimed to have come from Al Capone.

"You can get more done with a kind word and a gun, than with a kind word alone!"

From personal experience... I find this to be VERY true!
