I have a Scag Turfrunner, zero turn radius professional lawn mower with the 48” hydraulic cutting deck, 22hp Kohler horizontal crank v-twin. All of the hydraulic lines seem newer. I’m currently in the process of cleaning up some of the rust at the welds to ensure that there aren’t any cracks, installing new tires, belts and doing a tune-up for the season, etc I only have .25 acre so I don’t even use it anymore. There aren’t any used lawn mower Blue Books and they don’t seem to go up for sale much used. I know this model was around 6000 new. What would be a fair price to ask for?

Scags are great mowers.
You may be able to get up to 2 or 3 grand for it.
What year is it, and how many hours on it will have a lot to do with how much you can get.
I wish I could take it off your hands, I need a good commercial grade mower.

Thumper, I may have an interested party already. Would be for a multi-acre commercial property. Got a model number and year? Let me know what you would be looking to get out of it.

Why can't you take it off my hands Glitch? I've got a pickup truck...

It sat for a bit so I'm in the process of rebuilding the carb. It's not ready for sale just yet. I've seen the same model go for $4,000 in similar condition, but it was at a dealer, so they can generally get more. Even though I can't obviously offer a warranty, I wouldn't feel right letting it go without going through it.

Lack of capitol.
Unemployment has it's disadvantages, quite a few in fact. I have a few residential accounts, but not enough.
The equipment I have is too lightweight to get anything bigger.
Good luck to you, I'm sure it'll sell pretty fast when you're ready.
Back in the day I had a Scag Walk-Behind that seemed to go on forever. They're very well built machines. Kohlers are excellent engines.

Got any spare Blasts laying around?!

I thought about keeping it for the yard, but I wouldn't have any excuse to go outside because I'd be done in ten minutes...

I used to use a Scag. It was fast, even in the deep stuff. I did get it hung up in a swamp once and had to pull it out with a tractor. I like Scags.
