So I am tuning up the xb this morning I am changing plugs and wires I pull off the airfilter base I get my flashlight and I am inspecting and lubing the throttle body cables and I see an open vacum 90degree elbow on the right side of the throttle body I could not find any vacum line that would go to that the bike runs perfest by the way anyone know what that elbow is for? |

If I don't need it I will for sure I don't want to have a check engine light come on in a couple hundred miles because I didn't hook it up to something my old ass eyes didn't see. |

Thats where the carbon can connects. It should have a plug on it. |

i got a vacuum line cap form advance auto for like a nickel. it does the trick. |

why? any benifit to the can other than envirmental as I am from jersey such things as enviremental issues are a bother to me and I prefer to use heavy metals for salad dressing |
