Yet another E-bay scam, trying to victimize a future Bueller. Sounds way too good to be true. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2447495320&categor y=49984 |

I think that Australasia is east of Europe, west of USSR. edited by m1combat on December 08, 2003 |

"Forecast weather for Australasia" http://www.met-office.gov.uk/weather/australia/australiaforecast.html Appears to be a real place, and located way down under. |

I think they group the whole south region into a general category. NewZealand might be a bit peeved if they were (again) thought of as part of Australia. |

I emailed the seller re: prequalification. They claim to be based in L.A. Want to know if you have made any big EBAY purchases or have any negative feedback. I sent another asking for references, then sent a separate one to the listed seller. We'll see if he knows they are using his name, cuz the first email did not go to the email listed as seller. |

That isn't the HD in Lansing as they don't do Buell, and are quite snooty about it. |

Its been removed from Ebay. I emailed via the "ask seller a question" link. The seller replied We are located in L.A., California In order to be pre-approved please inform us if you ever purchased a high price item on eBay. We also need to know if you have negative feedback. We apologize for asking these questions but we had a lot of problems with non paying bidders in the past and we lost a lot of money in listing fees. All of our products are brand new (not refurbished) and comes with all the factory accessories. They are 100% insured and have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. Warranty card (US warranty) will be enclosed with invoice. The shipping is free only within US. All our products are available for overnight shipping (additional charge will be asked). Regards, Bikes Trade Company So, I replied with "Do you represent a Buell dealership? Why only 1 year warranty? 2004 Buell's carry a 2 year warranty." The sellers responded with " dear customer, we are a serious company we work with www.escrow.com regards" As you can see they never answered my questions and a few hours later the listing was removed. |

Here is what the Bastards sent me, do you think English may be a second language to these Los Angeles citizens? "Dear Sir, You are already on our pre approved buyer list for one new 2004 Buell Firebolt XB12R Sport Bike -$7250 are no longer listed because we asked eBay to take off the auction from the site because we had too many demands for our products and we already find buyers for them (like yourself). We received 1100 questions for this item in the last 12 hours, it's like a bomb email and we have to reject all the demands because all the items are sold or promised to be sold. Who asks first, gets the item, works like this. The next step is to give you the last details for finalizing this business under the best conditions. If you are a first time user then you must go in person to a Western Union agent from where you can send the payment. If you can't find a agent location near you, please send us your address and we will search it for you . Since we will support the shipping costs you will support the money transfer commission. You will be allowed to buy it only after the wire transfer is sent to Los Angeles. Note that you have to send us the first 40% of the total amount of $7,250 which means $2,900 and the rest of $4,350 after delivery. After you make the payment through Western Union they will provide you the mtcn that means money transfer control number. E-mail us the mtcn and the sender's full name and address that you filled in on the transfer request. As soon as we receive from you the transfer details we will check the payment and immediately contact eBay Warehouse to ship the bike to you and you will receive it by DAS insured in about four days. The payment must be sent on the name of our sales manager: MARTIN GORDON 4876 El Cajon Blvd, City: San Diego State: Ca" I'm like thinking maybe, just maybe they's phony. |

That address is about a block from a legitimate bike dealer in San Diego. San Diego House of Motorcycles 4904 El Cajon Blvd San Diego, CA 92115 (619)229-7700 Give them a call and basically let them know what you received. They could tell you if there is a shop there or not. It is in their interest if this is a scam to help cause well its bad for business. Being there in San Diego they may be able to get the cops rolling on it also. just a thought.

The pre pay by Western Union is almost always a scam!!!! They go down to Western Union show a fake id and drive off with your money never to be seen again. Go look on the ebay motorcycle board. It happens all the time. http://forums.ebay.com/db1/forum.jsp?forum=36 |
