Dana...Take your time and shop around. You have a long time left on your warranty and assume you don't want to cut it short with a track day. That could be considered racing and an automatic foul.

Waterloo might still have some deals on 2-piece leathers. I bought a nice set of Teknic from Dave a couple months ago and am real pleased with them.

I think they were $429. They aren't custom sized Vansons but they seem to be more than adequate for my use. Will meet the requirements of a track day next year and are extending my riding season right now. I can layer some poly-pro and suit up and be comfortable in the lower 40's for an hour or so of riding.

Sounds like an excellent package. Think next season I will make a run out to Waterloo and do some long needed shopping.

Dana...was just teasing you about the warranty. From your response, it looks like you caught the the joke.

The last weekend of April for our Buell Bash/BattleTrax weekend would be a good time for all of you to come to Waterloo. 2 days of Buell fun!

Nev,

Really is, was a target of opportunity when I stopped up there to visit Dave and see his shop. It's also nice to have a well fitting jacket that I can wear alone for more moderate riding.

With an endorsement like that, it looks like I will be headed to Waterloo in April.

The BattleTrax Dave and Doug put on here at Suburban Motors was fantastic and the description of their home course was way too enticing to miss anyway.

Dana,

I have had good luck over the years finding great deals on motorcycle apparel at the International Motorcycle Shows, especially if you are willing to negotiate purchase price instead of just accepting the first price they give you. The good thing is you can actually try items on for fit and quality check. The bad thing is you never know beforehand if you will find what you're looking for at the show (e.g. color or specific size).

See http://show.motorcycleshows.com/IMSBrandManager/V40/index.cvn for schedule of shows.
