So, I upgrade the front exhaust hanger on my S3T and I don't have the regulator bracket. After members here on Badweb supply me with the part numbers my local Harley Retailer tells me the part is discontinued. Anyone out there willing to part with a voltage regulator bracket for the upgraded exhaust hanger for a 1998 S3T? OR, anyone take a picture of the upgraded hanger bracket so I can fabricate one? I currently have my existing regulator wire tied onto the front of the bike....... Why do these little parts go discontinued when there are bikes still in existance? |

The exhaust support thing is supposed to come as a kit with the relocating stuff. (or at least mine did) |

I got my hangar separately (used) and initially built a regulator bracket out of sheet metal. IIRC I just eyeballed the picture in the installation service bulletin, took some measurements off the VR, and built it. I did the bends in a vice using a hammer. I later found out the factory part was only like ~$5 so I ordered one and replaced my home-made part. The factory part was somewhat heavier gauge metal but my light-gauge one worked fine. |
