Since my only other option is to blame myself, I will instead blame Badweb. New12r started things with his review of his ride on a 'Busa. Then Ohioxb12 had that GSX-R 1100 for sale a while back. I could feel it happening... like a junkie who starts to think really hard about getting another fix. It was only a matter of time. Somewhere out there is my newest ebay purchase. It is being transported to Green Bay tonight for a final inspection. If it all checks out, money will exchange hands on my new-to-me 2004 Matt Mladin GSXR1000. Bill

I wouldn't mind one of those 06 LE white Busa's. Good luck with it. |

I'd rather have an Old School TLR. I like twins too much to go back to I4s. Hope it turns out to be a killer deal! |

The M2 is still there, but it's days may be numbered. I am trying to convince the GF to start riding and the Cyclone may end up being converted to a Blast at some point in the near future. I am going to make my sales pitch to her this weekend. I would love her to just ride the Cyclone so I could justify keeping it, but I don't see it as a very good starter bike. Any opinions to the contrary? I am convinced that she will love riding street bikes since she already likes dirtbikes. Hell, I'm convinced EVERYBODY would love riding if they would just give it a try. I just got the call that the GSXR is in town and I can inspect and finalize tomorrow after work. I hope it checks out OK, I am totally excited. I have some seat time on a friends GSXR750, and I am hoping the 1000 is just a little more of the same. Bill |

Just foul a plug on the Cyclone, thats the cheap and easy way to make it a Blast |

Keep the M2, she'll grow out of the Blast soon enough, then you'll be looking for something else & wishing you'd kept it. |

I still have a craving for an RC51. One day one might find it's way into my garage. |

I agree... hang on to the tuber... unless the GF is under 5'4" she might love it eventually. |

The GSXR arrived. It definitely isn't some pampered garage queen! There is some tip-over damage which was disclosed in the auction, and was actually not as severe as the seller described it. It's nothing I am even bothering to fix. It's covered with dead bugs and road dirt, but mechanically, it appears to be 100%. The seller was totally cool and put a ton of effort to make the sale possible. He even had a new set of tires levered onto it for me and paid for the mounting. Guys like that really make the whole ebay thing worth the risk. All in all, it's pretty much what you would expect for a $4,250.00 '04 GSXR 1000. The bike is insanely fast. It pulls nearly as hard as the Cyclone off the bottom, and then builds to levels of insanity that really have no use on the street. I hope the weather holds. I want to spend the weekend riding and sorting the thing out. Bill |

I love my Blast but if you need someone to hang onto the M-2 for you for awhile, I'll be glad to store it in my carport and take it out for occasional rides, just to keep it in good running condition, you know. |
