i have a battery float charger that has standard mini jumper cable type clamps on it. i want to make a pig tail end that will stay on my battery all the time with ring terminals. but on the other end have a style of connector that is plug and play, so i dont have to remove my seat all the time to make the connection. something like on the ends of this jumper... http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/common/img_pop.jsp?skuId=282475&imgId=0 anyone know where to get a connector of that style (doesnt have to be exact) just looking for the same basic function. radio shack doesnt have anything i could find, on their site anyway. Grainger doesnt appear to have what i am after either. (Message edited by simple on August 04, 2008) |

Any auto parts store should have many types that would work. Heck a trailer plug would work if it has fairly heavy wires. |

Josh, i looked at that item you linked too, i only noticed the metal parts in the pic the 1st time, i was skimming, now i see the plastic housing in there as well Krassh, thats something like what i am trying to duplicate, i would still need one for the other side of the connection. now that i know they are at radio shack, my problem is solved! You can get Deutsch connectors at your local Buell HD Dealer. They are sourced on the majority of the Big Twins. If you would like, we can get a part no in the AM Also, you can get the SAE connectors that are used as the power cable for HD Heated Clothing, at you dealer. BDS, sure, you think the HD dealer parts will be cheaper ($ wise) then the parts from RS? i got the float charger for free, so i'm trying to keep the accessories cheap too. i've already got the wire and ring terminals |
