Apologies if someone already posted this, as it isn't exactly new news (but I don't recall hearing anything about it). I happened to stop by the local Hooters (East Meadow) today for lunch. There was a copy of the November/December 2007 Hooters magazine on the bar, so I picked it up for something to read while I waited for my food order.

Right on the front cover I spotted a familiar name: "Erik Buell." I leafed through the magazine (couldn't find any reference in the table of contents) and found a nice, two-page interview with the head elf himself. My favorite part was the side bar: Erik Buell's Top Ten Reasons Why Girls like Motorcyclists.

Anybody else see it??

I first read about Buell in a copy of Playboy, actually, back in the laye '80s or early '90s
much like Hooters, the articles are where it's at.

From Page 47 of the November/December 2007 issue of Hooter's Magazine, Erik Buell's Top Ten Reasons Women Love Men Who Ride:

10. Bikes are a manual ride sport, so bikers are in shape -- we look good.

9. We have interesting stories to tell.

8. We are optimists, never think about the gloomy side -- we can't think about when we might fall off, we just enjoy the ride.

7. We're too busy with our bikes to chase other women.

6. We don't eat or drink excessively; we need the money for our bikes.

5. We're not sitting around on the couch whining, we're out on the bike.

4. We understand the allure of shiny objects.

3. We live on the edge. We put everything we have into everything we do.

2. We're really good at being in sync with our world (and our girl).

1. We can be easily redirected if we're in the way.

That is an awesome list.

I love it.
