OK my father has an oppurtunity to pick up an 03 Triumph All American 790, for what it cost the mechanic to look at(next to nothing, literally). Diagnosed problem-- pitted carbs where the diaphram floats move up and down(don't ask, I don't know, adn neither does my dad). Hence the reason I am here. Does anyone know of a replacement set, a fix, any good advice? Seriously need to get something to get this bike running. He is picking it up for the pure turn around potential. ADVICE??????ADVISE???? |

what rocket said but if the part is staright and needs to be an equal plane put a piece of glass down(coffe table works perfect)on the carpet, place fine sand paper on glass, rough side up, a small amount of water on the back side to the paper wont move so much and do circular motions rubbing the part on the paperwhich sits upon the flat glass |

I understand where you guys are heading. But the problem apparently is on the inside of the carbs. Would a filler really work? Any idea what model Mikuni's to look at? |
