etenully: TSO's members are the same guys from the 80's/90's metal band Savatage....I like them!

Guell: dude, I love the Cult...They came to Vegas a couple of years ago. I missed them...My wife was giving birth to our daughter.

I don't want to upset any BadWeBers but I have to share this great news with you all because of this thread.

Led Zeppelin reunion

Tickets were sold by ballot. We didn't get any. That's not a problem though. I just got confirmation tonight that I got two standing tickets from a private sale. I could have bought a reasonable condition S1 the price these came in it. I kid you not. So anyone wants to know where I am a week on Monday, eat your heart out, lol.

More seriously though. Zep are originally Black Country rockers, coming from the British Midlands, where a lot of great bands formed in the 60's. I'm a huge Slade fan as many have heard now and again on BadWeB. They too came out of the Black Country. If ever you want to see one of the best British rock films ever made that pretty much sums up how the industry was and worked back then with its authentic portrayal of a Black Country bands rise to fame, Slade in Flame is an outstanding piece of historical cinematography - and it's readily available on DVD. I don't just say this because I'm a Slade fan either. It's a critically acclaimed movie by many established artists and industry insiders. Well, Slade came a little to early for America to favour them. By that I mean they were a little to risky with their song writing for FM radio play, so despite great success touring, supporting the likes of ZZ Top and god knows I can't remember who else, radio play, thus record sales eluded Slade. MTV perhaps came to late to give Slade a fair go at cracking the States too, but that didn't stop Quiet Riot having a massive No1 hit with their authentic version of 'Cum On Feel The Noize' years later. I haven't played any Quiet Riot except for giving their version a listen or three over the years, so it is sad to hear of their then lead singers untimely passing. I know for an absolute fact that Noddy Holder, and no doubt the rest of Slade, will be saddened too. Whatever you do in life, always enjoy the music.

The best concert I've ever been to was Oingo Boingo in Anaheim on haloween back in the
early 90's. Danny Elfman and company blew the roof off of the place with a 3hr+ show
both years I saw them there. No warm up band, no need for one.

I saw Buddy Guy at the Blues festival several years running when I lived in San Diego.
Great show, Great showmanship.
He absolutely out shined B B King in every way. If you get a chance to see him do not
miss it!

George Thorogood still puts on a good blues/rock show as does Kenny Wayne Shepard.

For a straight rock show, The best I've seen were Jackyl, and Sammy Hagar (solo)

Last band I saw live was "The Mighty Hush" who are no more, at a pub in Dover.

I don't go to the big stadium or hall gigs as I'm not good with big crowds.

But I love seeing live bands in pubs & bars, it's just a damn shame that they're no longer the smoky dives they used to be, what with all the smoking bans.

Damn PC police, mumble, grumble...

BB still gives a great show. Saw him twice in the last few years and was pleased to see that the Legend can still stroke Lucille as well as he ever did. His sidemen are the best in the business.

I almost got a pick he threw into the audience, but some white-haired old lady elbowed me in the head and beat me to it.

She probably didn't even play the guitar...
